Innovative Programs that Guide Farmers and Growers to Raise Better Plants

In this section, you’ll learn about the Plant Biotechnology Program at VSU, where we are developing new strategies for improving crop tolerance, as well as accelerating plant breeding processes. You’ll learn about new and alternative crops that are being researched, and about the Soybean Breeding Program. This program is helping farmers to diversify their crops and be more profitable by planting a vegetable soybean from Asia that’s more nutritious than the grainy soybean typically grown in the U.S.
